When something shows up in a PET scan waiting to have further tests is very stressful, and it's natural to feel scared. But I’m afraid until the MRI results are known no one can tell you  anymore for now.

Breast cancer can sometimes travel to the bones  and with an abnormality in the spine, it is taken seriously and properly looked into but it can also have nothing to do with cancer. 

I know waiting when you are worried like this is never easy but I’m afraid there is no real way round this. Some people find talking it through with family and friends and keeping busy can sometimes help. But until you know more it’s natural to worry.

The waiting is the worst bit of this journey, isn't it . Knowledge is power and even when we hear bad news, once we know for sure, we start to process and deal with it. I hope you're not waiting too long and it's a good outcome for you, it could be one of many things they've spotted and they're being thorough. As I've gone through similar myself, I can totally identify but I'm now at the point, with the help of some medication for anxiety, where I worry much less about things I can't control. You will get to that point too. Good luck and big hugs, you can do this.

Hi, yes waiting is awful. You do try and guess what they'll say. Every scenario goes through your head. I just heard my MRI scan is on Tues morning, I'm dreading it but I just want it over so I can start treatment. At least I know something is being done then.
