Hello and thank you for your post.

It is possible to get infections in your breast, even if you have not been recently breast feeding. Or hormonal changes in the body can cause the breast to feel different. So your symptoms are not necessarily related to cancer. You have had a mammogram so will now need to wait for the results.

If anything shows up on your mammogram report then you will be referred to a breast clinic where you will be examined and possibly have further investigations.

I release that this must be a worrying time for you so I hope you get your results soon and will be be okay.
