Any advice?

I was diagnosed with mycosis fungoides a little over a year ago and prescribed uvb light treatments. I have been going to treatments 3 times a week for a year and just changed to 2 times per week. The rash just keeps going. It seems like everywhere the light has not reached, the rash goes. I have had the rash go into my ear canal, my nostril, and I have had particular trouble on myeyelids where the googles block the uvb light. Also, for the past 8 months or so the bottoms of my feet have been affected. The skin there got really thick and then would split when I walked. At the moment I can barely walk. The skin between my toes is thin and red and 'oozes' if I constrict themin any way, even socks. They are also swollen so shoes don't fit.

Sorry to go on about my symptoms but I am having quite a struggle with life right now. I used to be quite healthy and strong and want to get back there again. I used to be a positive person as well and would never have complained like this a few years ago. I'm starting to get quite tired and wonder if there is anyone out there who has advice. There are not a lot of people you can talk to about this. Thank you for listening.

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

I am sorry to hear that you are having a tough time of it, and appreciate how hard it must be coping with this, on an ongoing basis.

I am not sure whether you have access to a hospital specialist nurse at all, but if you have a contact, then do let them know how you are feeling.

There is a UK charity called Lymphoma Action, and they have online support meetings, and a Facebook group where other patients can share experiences, and support each other,

I hope that this reply may be of some help,

    Wishing you the best,

    Vanda
