Annual mammograms

I had my annual mammogram in December and thankfully they said no change from previous years , I have always been fine but I'm checked annuslly as there is breast cancer history in my family . However since having the mammogram my left breast has been a bit aching, no lump I checked , and no changes to the breast or nipple at all , and no discharge just a mild aches to the left of the breast please could I ask if this is normal and if I am ok I am worrying about it a lot.

having only recently had the mama gram it was done  by my hospital and my previous one was the year before and all Ok too , I am worried my Gp feels it's fine but just wanted to check , I'm 55

what I am asking is if I had a clear mammogram 4 months ago could any changes happen thst fast I felt this around 4 weeks after having the mammogram.

  •  Hello and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling worried about your breast. I can understand that having a history of breast cancer in your family can make you more worried about your own breasts.

As I am sure you are aware we can't diagnose you, but many women complain of pain in their breasts and even though it can cause a lot of anxiety pain is not usually associated with cancer. If you remain concerned do go back and discuss your worries with your GP.

    All the Best,

    Catherine
