Lipoma is sometimes hard

Hi, I have a lump in the crease of my elbow for over a year and I have seen a doctor. The doctor said it is a lipoma without even examining it, since then it has gotten bigger and changes from soft to very hard. Since I noticed it over a year ago I also started getting a pain in my arm from my shoulder to my hand, I was referred to an orthopaedic consultant who said the two things are not connected and there is nothing wrong with my arm. Since that appointment I have been to an osteopath who helped with my arm pain but I am now worried about my lipomas size and texture. Any advice would be appreciated

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

Unfortunately, as nurses, we aren't able to give you a medical opinion about your arm. If you are still worrying about it, then do speak with your GP again about this.

With regards to your arm pain, then asking an osteopath or physiotherapist about what may help, is always useful.

    Wishing you the best,
