hi all i get daily headaches and have been for almost 2 years i was put off going to my GP due to covid i finally got a appointment and told him   my symptons so my GP refered me to see a neurologist he sent me for a brain scan and its been 6 weeks after my scan and had no results back yet im starting to panic now incase they have  found something  abnormal

    I'm sorry you are still waiting for your brain scan results and appreciate this must be a worry for you. I understand that all the waiting and not knowing can be unnerving but until all the test results are in no one can tell you anymore for now.

    Usually the GP would get a summary letter sent from the hospital with any test results and the conclusions of the specialist. So do check this out with your GP. If they haven't heard anything from the hospital in the next week or two then they should be able to chase this up on your behalf.

    I hope you hear something soon and that everything turns out to be okay.

    update 7 weeks today i had my my mri scan and i still have had no mri results  i am starting to get to the stage where i am goining into complaint  mode now i am so confused and even more fed up

    Hi JK and thanks for updating us. I'm sorry this is all still going on for you.

    As my colleague Celene said previously I think it would be good to try and contact your GP to see if they've been updated or can chase this up for you.

    You could also try and contact the neurologist you have seen previously at the hospital. Although they cannot give you any medical information, their secretary would know if your letter has been sent out to you yet.

    hi sarah i managed to phone the neuroligist today i was speaking to the secutary and told   her i want my results of my mri scan as i have waited for 7 weeks and not heard anything she told me that they have a backlog so i am still no further forward i just have to wait until they phone me
