I am sorry to hear about your situation. I can understand that finding a lump can cause a lot of worry.

Breasts change through a woman's life time due to changes in hormonal levels. This can be particularly true after pregnancy. Breast Cancer Now has produced some information about what happens to your breasts before and after pregnancy which you can read about here

GP's are very experienced at looking at breast lumps and I am sure that if she had any concerns she would have referred you straight to a breast clinic.

Try and give the antibiotics a chance to work as often it can take several days to get on top of an infection if there is one there.

Do what the doctor said and go back to her next week if it does not seem to have cleared up.
