I am sorry to hear you are currently receiving chemotherapy and understand you have a question.
Some patients do continue to have filgrastim ( GCSF) during weekly paclitaxel sessions but this depends on individual circumstances.
The doctors may discuss stopping this with you and seeing how your neutraphils are affected in the first couple of rounds. Usually if a patients treatment needs to be delayed because of low blood counts or a neutrapenic sepsis episode they will recommend the filgrastim to prevent this happening again.
Do talk to your specialist or nurse when you can to discuss this with them.
