The change in your bowels may well be connected to your IBS so try if you can not to let your mind run away with you if you possibly can.

It is lovely to hear from other people on the forum but it is also important to remember that everyone's situation is slightly different so if it is difficult to compare one person with another. Anxiety about our health can also make symptoms worse.

You may find it helpful to get back in touch with your GP if you have not heard by the end of this week. They maybe able to chase the appointment up for you particularly if you feel that your symptoms are getting worse.
