I was treated with silver nitrate on cervical ectropion, is that normal if bleeding happens afterwards and how long does it take to stop bleeding and heal?
It can take up to a week for post treatment bleeding to settle and stop. If it persists beyond that, or becomes offensive smelling, then do ring the hospital department or your GP, for further advice. Generally, you would also be advised to avoid tampon use or penetrative sex for a few weeks to allow it to heal.
