Lumps

Hi I am a 22 year old female. About 3 weeks ago I found a lump (pea size) on my side. So basically were your jeans would sit if high waisted. Now 3 weeks later I can feel a lump above that and it quite big and other little lumps on my waist like. I can also feel 2 in the frount of my body (above the waistline) sorry guys I'm am dumb so I'm not quite sure what it's called. I'm nerves to see a doctor as they ask for a phone call first and ask me were about it is etc and they won't see me until I tell them were about it is but as I struggle with the human body (even though I've looked at diagrams) I still don't get it however there painless and from what I can feel immovable. I'm so so scared even being 22. I'd say I'm overweight and a heavy smoker which doesn't help.

  • Hello there

I am sorry to hear you are worried about these lumps you can feel in your body.

I'm afraid no one here can say what these might be being caused by but most lumps are harmless and will have a cause other than a cancer.

It is best to call your GP surgery again to speak to one of the doctors. All you need to say is you can feel some lumps around your stomach or side or in the chest area that are worrying you. I am sure they will bring you into the surgery to examine you to try and figure out what the matter may be.

Try not to worry, at your age cancer is rare and there is probably a simple reason for these lumps.

    Take care

    Naomi
