Hi I had radiotherapy back in August 2021 after lumps for breast cancerand now I have side rib pain on the same side is it from the radiotherapy or something more sinister I am awaiting a ct scan to find out has anyone else experienced rib pain
I had 15 sessions of radiotherapy completing them in February 2020. Yes I do get bone pain in my ribs. My cancer was in the left breast but I get the pain on both sides. I haven't had it checked but may mention it the next time I see an oncologist. Don't think it's anything sinister, but I get why you are concerned.
People can experience side effects such as rib tenderness from the radiotherapy even after a good few months - it's possible that it may be related to treatment, but it's good that you reported it and are now awaiting a scan to see what might be the cause.
