Back story...
2ww to haematology 1 year ago due to inflamed right side of neck lymph nodes more were found but nothing mentioned so presume ok had MRI neck and chest, blood tests and CT brain. All clear except I have well pneumotised sinuses sephnoid, ethmoid, and maxillary.
Had Covid November 21, couldn't talk for 4 weeks, multiple diagnosis laryngitis tonsillitis pharyngitis etc 4 lots of antibiotics mentioned the lump forming at the back of my throat Dr said keep an eye on it. Honestly forgot about it as alot going on and no pain etc. My voice comes and goes still.
Last Monday went to dentist as developed a swelling on the left hard palate creating some nerve pain and numbness in lip cheek and tongue. Dentist took one look and after explaining my mouth hasn't felt normal since covid he was very interested in the back of my throat, told me not to worry, and I'll be a good case study, but he will get me to see head and neck anyway I came out feeling fine and happy until the next day I got a phone call from maxfax saying I had indeed been referred as a 2ww for suspected cancer appt 17th March.
But wondering what maxillofacial look at? as I believe most people referred for the throat is ENT. Also looking for any stories like mine
Thanks
