I'm not on my period but I've recently started a new contraceptive pill and I've been having light breakthrough bleeding for over a week now. My colposcopy following my abnormal smear results is scheduled for Thursday and the bleeding is showing no sign of stopping any time soon, I know this is not ideal but do I need to re-schedule my appointment or will they still be able to go ahead with the colposcopy even though I might be bleeding a little?
