It is difficult to say at what point a cancer becomes life threatening as each persons situation can be quite different so therefore this point is individual to them.
When someone is diagnosed many different factors can affect how they will do. These factors include previous medical history, how they cope and respond to treatments, general health and well being, age, and the stage at diagnosis. These can be all very different in which case the outcome can be very different in everyone.
