Sometimes as scar tissue is formed, the skin can feel a bit tighter and thicker, and this can press on nerves. Ask your mum to try and massage the scar area if she can, as this may help. Hospital teams often suggest using the product bio oil on scars. Your mum could ask her GP about it. Just in case she has a skin infection in the breast tissue itself. They might suggest contacting her original breast team at the hospital for a review.
