Lump upper inner quadrant

Hi

had a biopsy on a lump found on my upper inner quadrant on my breast and within 3 days been given an appointment to see breast surgery dept , absolutely worried sick and can't believe I have to wait 10 days til the appointment is this normal procedure ? Thanks

    Hi Collkaa,

    A very warm welcome to our forum.  Unfortunately, it normally takes 1-2 weeks to get.the results of a breast biopsy. This is pretty normal and most surgeons like to give the results face-to-face, irrespective of the outcome. This is always a worrying time. Try to keep yourself busy meanwhile, as this helps to pass the waiting time.

    I am sorry to hear about your situation and appreciate this must be a worrying time for you.

    Unfortunately as another forum member says it usually takes 2 weeks for biopsy results to come back so try not to read too much into the situation until you know more.

    Keep yourself busy and your mind on other things if you can.
