Post Menopausal Bleeding

Hi I am almost 52 and not had a bleed for 11 years. Started with menopause symptoms 6 months ago and contacted GP three months ago to discus HRT.  2 weeks later I had a heavy bleed for 2 full days and then it just stopped, nothing since.  I've worried over this for past 3 months, but have now contacted GP and awaiting referral letter from Gynaecology. I'm worried, am I right to be???

    I appreciate this bleeding must be a worry for you and it is important it is looked into but I'm afraid no one here can say what this may be caused by, or if it is anything serious.

    There can be many reasons for post menopausal bleeding as shown here and whilst things such as cancer need to be ruled out there is a chance there is something far less serious the matter.

    Sit tight for now and try not to over think things until you have all the information.
