Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post but I could really do with some advice.

I've always been regular with my periods and I'm not currently on any contraception (natural method planning), last month my period was 5 days late which was strange as I'm usually on time. It lasted 4 days and the bleeding was very heavy, 8 days after it finished I start to get a bleed again for 3 days it was really heavy too. I had a private scan which showed a 4cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary. I'm now 9 days late on my period, I keep getting period like pains but no period not even spotting. I've taken multiple pregnancy tests which have all been negative.

I was just wondering if a cyst could cause this? I've had cysts twice before in my life and they never affected my periods so I'm just really confused. I have another scan in 2 weeks so will find out then if anything has changed
