Hello and thanks for your post
It usually takes 2 or 3 weeks to get biopsy results and although the pandemic has caused delays with diagnosing and treating people, it does seem that you have been waiting a bit longer than usual.
As I'm not involved in your clinical care it's difficult for me to say why this is. You really need to speak to your GP or if you have access to a gynaecology nurse specialist you could discuss this further with them.
If you have any difficulty with this, it may be helpful to get in touch with PALS to have a chat about the situation and to see if they can move things along.
I hope you know more about your situation soon. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Celene
I had my follow up appointment on Monday 31st Jan with my gynaecologist who said no results as yet.
im know experiencing lower abdominal pain and been referrfor further scans.I'm worried and anxious as no results.
Hello and thanks for your further post
Unfortunately, because of the pandemic there is a backlog causing delays in processing laboratory results in some hospitals so this is not unusual at the moment. If you don't hear anything by next week, then do ask your GP to enquire, or ring the specialist/consultant secretary for further advice.
Your surgery was only a weeks ago ago and nerves and underlying tissue can take some time to recover so it's not all that unusual to experience some degree of abdominal pain. But it's good to hear that you are having a scan to check this out just to be sure.
I hope you know more soon and that everything turns out to be okay.
Best wishes,
Celene
