Blockages in the bowel can have a number of different explanations and doesn't have to be cancer. It sounds from your post that the specialist thinks it may be more likely to be Crohns, but it's really not until they have done the surgery and if necessary removed a bit of the area to look at under the microscope, that they will be able to say for sure.

It's horrid waiting for tests and results but no one will be able to say what this may be before then.

Try and hold your nerve and focus on what you have been told so far - you can't second guess at the moment.
