I am sorry to read about your health problems.  Unfortunately we don't have any benefits advisors at CRUK, and as nurses we don't have the knowledge or expertise to advise you about whether you might be entitled to PIP. 

We have some general information about benefits on our website here, but it sounds like you need some specialist advice.  It might be helpful to ask at the hospital where you are being treated if they can put you in touch with a social worker, or contact your local authority or Citizen's Advice.

Macmillan can also offer benefits advice so it might be worth contacting them. Their number is freephone 0808 808 00 00.
