I am sorry to hear about the lump under your arm. I can understand how unsettling it must be for you until you find the cause.

It is really only the scan and any other investigations that the doctor decides to do that will help them try and find out the cause of a lump. Each individual patient is unique with their own particular symptoms so it is only doctors involved in your care who will be able try and diagnose what is causing your lump.

Try not to overthink it all if you can. There are other causes for lumps to happen other then cancer but I can understand that it is natural to worry.
