Phone call consultation

I had a ultrasound on my boobs now received a letter today saying I need to have a consultation is this normal or anything to worry about?

  • Did you have any biopsies? What did they say they thought the lump might be?

  • I had a biopsy done a year ago on one lump I had and that was lympfomia I think that's how you spell it but they found another lump behind that they didn't say anything about it that one

  • Hello and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately until you have that phone call no one is going to be able to tell you any more.

Living with uncertainty is horrible but try not to overthink what it means. They may be ringing to say that they need to do further tests or investigations.

Have a pen and paper at your appointment so you can write down what they say may be helpful. You may find it a good idea to have a close friend or member of your family listening in so you can make sure that you hear everything that the doctors says. Don't be afraid to ask any questions and make sure you understand all that is said.

I do hope that you know more soon. if you feel that it would be helpful to chat any of this through with one of the nurses on the helpline then do get back to us or give us a ring. We are here Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.  Freephone 0808 800 4040

    All the Best,

    Catherine
