Left kidney cancer

Hi I had my left kidney removed because of cancer it was found when I had a scan for kidney stones. and I did have a big stone so that went with the kidney I went home two days after the op but now 11 months on I'm having pain in the left side were my kidney was and I don't under stand why any ideas

    I’m sorry that you are experiencing pain in your left side following kidney cancer surgery last year.

    I'm afraid no one here on Cancer Chat including the nurses can tell you for sure why you're experiencing pain. It’s possible that it could be due to nerve damage or a build up of scar tissue following the surgery. 

    However, the best thing to do to get checked out by your doctor just to be sure. Hopefully, they will be able to advise you further.
