What is wrong with me

I have suffered with headaches for as long as I can remember but this last year they have changed in intensity, I went to the GP who ordered a CT Scan in March of this year and the results came back as textbook everything was fine so my mind settled however in August I got Vestbular Neuritis and was really really dizzy lost the vision in my eye briefly which prompted me having to have my pupils dialated to have a better look everything was ok, as I was so off balance had to have another CT on the ear area of my head and that was all clear to which is great but I am still getting bad headaches and head rushes where it feels like the blood is draining from my head, I want to go back to the doc but as I am a fellow anxiety sufferer they are going to palm me off!!!

What are the chances of something growing in 9 months?? I just keep homing in on a BT, Stroke, Bleed or TIA it's a very scary time x

  • Hi and thank you for posting

It sounds like there's been a lot going on for you and it's not surprising that you remain worried about your headaches. However, after having had 2 CT scans, it would be unlikely for them to have missed anything like a tumour, though  I can't say for sure .

Although you are reluctant to go back to the GP, I'm afraid that no one here will be able to advise you further, as this is something that you would need to follow up with your doctor. Perhaps try and have a discussion about your concerns, what the next step should be and if a referral is necessary. Many people link headaches and similar symptoms to a brain tumour, whereas there can be many other explanations.

I hope things start settling down and that you manage to have a good consultation with the GP.

    All the best

    Wanda
