I hope I'm worrying about nothing but visited gp on Xmas Eve as m suffering with breast pain it's like a burning stabbing which radiates through to nipple but having a lot of pain in my side next to breast dr didn't seem to find any lump but have a slight puckering and I mean tiny,he's referred me to hosp currently waiting for a phone call to arrange a appointment within next 2 weeks. Can you get pain in side and sometimes radiated to back shoulder blade .sorry to bother but have no one else to speak about this. Would be happy just to know if this pain could be related to breast cancer awaiting patiently for a reply thanks

    Hi Lindab

    I have stabbing pain, burning sensation that radiates around my breast and around shoulder.  I have no lumps, can't see any puckering.  Nurse practitioner felt under armpit as that's where pain started.  She didn't examine breast. Few days later my doctor gave me Inflammatory tablets but the pain is worse so I now have an appointment next Thursday.  

    I'm very anxious about what they will find

    Hi pet hope everything is ok for you it's such a worry isn't it but we have to try and think positive it's the not knowing and just wondering do you get this kind of pain with breast cancer just don't know xx good luck

    Breast pain can cause a lot of worry but it is actually very common in women of all ages.It isn't usually a symptom of breast cancer. It is commonly linked to hormonal changes but is often caused by a muscle strain or rib pain. You can read more about breast pain here.

    Your GP has referred you to the breast clinic to get checked out just to be on the safe side.
