Lymphoma?

Hi, I discovered a hard pea sized lump in my left armpit, I had an ultrasound and was told I had normal reactive lymph nodes, this was back in May 21.
it's now December and it's still the same. I have kept a check on it and it has never gone.

Should I still be concerned? I have drenching night sweats for some time along with tiredness and itchy skin particularly my legs which is often worse at night.  As I am 42 the sweats have been put down to Peri-menopause although I am not now convinced. I haven't lost weight in fact I have gained a little and have regular upset tummies which I put down to my IBS.

I have unexplained low kidney function (gfr between 50-60) and am under the care of a nephrologist.

I understand I am probably over anxious, but wondered if I should push for a biopsy?

any advice would be appreciated

  • Hello, and thank you for contacting us.

Anyone with any concerns around their health does need to contact their GP.  As nurses we are unable to diagnose or suggest investigations, but your GP would be able to reassess you and make a decision about whether you need to be referred into the hospital again for further examination.

Go through with them what you have explained here for us, and tell them your concerns about cancer, to give them a clear idea about what is bothering you.

Do take care, and I hope you get some answers soon.

    Sarah.
