Sorry for delay in getting back to you. Hopefully you have spoken with one of the breast care nurses this morning but if not it is usually advised to keep the wound covered for 7 to 10 days after the operation. Sometimes if needed the outer dressing can be changed before then but if it has remained dry and intact it should be left in place.
