Hi, I am 12 days post having a mastectomy and reconstruction with implants and both of my breasts are red at the bottom. Should I be concerned by this?
Thank you for your post. Our nurse team are now out of office for the festive period. They return on Wednesday 29th December and will reply to your post as soon as they’re able to.
In the meantime if you're concerned about your breasts do give NHS 111 a call for some advice.
I can see you sent this a few days ago now, so this maybe sorted for you, but if you haven't already contacted someone I would advise it. It maybe that there is an infection causing the redness, so getting checked out by someone in your hospital team, like a breast care nurse (CNS) or speaking to your GP would be a good idea.
