Cancer in bone

Hi , I had my prostatectomy 3 years ago follwed by radiotherapy and been montiring every 3 months since which shows very small but steady growth . Dr says PSA is at stage where they think if it is still cancer then a soma pet scan will show. Got results today and shows that there is a single spot of cancer in my right pelvis. Right now Dr predicts they will decide next week in committee that as it is one spot they will do radiotherapy and hormone injections every 3 months just for 6 months and see what happens after.

I read that cancer in bone isn't curable or does it mean that when it is first found as stage 4 and too late .
mos cancer in bone worse than if it was in body tissue. Need to ask Dr again. Is there still chance of cure at this stage

  • HI i admire your optimism and thankyou for sharing your story. I will keep you updated as in what they are proposing next on jan 5th. Thankyou and i wish you better and will pray for you x

  • Thanks x I do hope the best for you on the 5th, and I sincerely wish you get the best treatment plan if needed, I know it's hard to digest it all and if at all possible take someone with you on next appointment because they will be able to listen and hear a lot more than yourself if not ask your consultant to send you a breakdown/explanation letter of what's been said and decided, they're very good in their profession but maybe don't quite appreciate how your mind is working overtime ( maybe that was just me at time I felt a bit like on autopilot x ) but it will help you later, I just hope you get the result you need and want and wish you a happy and healthier new year my prayers are with you x

  • Thanks for the advice and support x
