  • Hello and thank you for your post,

I am sorry to hear about the bleeding you have and I can appreciate that this is a worry. However, please remember that most cases of abnormal vaginal bleeding is not caused by cancer.

It is reassuring to know that your GP has referred you back to the gynaecology team as this is the best way to know what is causing the bleeding.  You might need to have tests and investigations and it is possible you will need to have another hysteroscopy.

Waiting for tests and investigations to be done can be difficult so I hope you have support at this time.

I hope you know more about your situation soon and that you will be okay. Meantime you are welcome to get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday (except bank holidays)

    Take care,

    Caroline
