Lumps on Neck // Itching

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit of an anxious mess at the moment. A few weeks ago I noticed a lump on the bottom right of my neck, it was maybe the size of a 20p coin if not ever so slightly bigger. I didn't feel particularly unwell at the time but left it a few weeks in case it was swollen due to an infection. I don't think it's got any bigger but it's not went down. I've went to the doctor and she's sending me for bloods and an ultrasound. I've googled it (which I know is the worst thing you can do!) and it came up with lymphoma and I read that another of the symptoms is itching skin which is a problem I've had for about 2 years now- literally head to toe itching. I've been diagnosed with eczema but I'm itchy even where I don't have visible eczema so now I'm worried I could have had something more sinister this entire time. I don't have any of the other symptoms like a fever or night sweats. I am tired but I wouldn't say extremely fatigued. I feel like now I'm constantly prodding my neck etc... today I've found a smaller lump- maybe the size of a pea if that on the other side of my neck but I don't know if that's just because of all the prodding! I don't think I have an Infection per se but I do have havfever and patches of eczema but not sure if this could cause the swollen lymph nodes. Waiting for an appointment is driving me crazy so I thought I'd post here for some reassurance or similar cases!

  • Hey, sorry to hear what you are going through. I had lump behind my ear twice in different positions and they went away and now lump behind top of neck/bottom of head. Just wondering if you have itchy scalp and red rash from itching behind neck? I have been waiting for my ultrasound for almost 9 months of so because I orginally cancelled the initial appointment due to the lump behind my ear disappearing. Had to go through the entire process again and have managed to get an appointment in 2 weeks but my itchiness is so bad and I'm going on holiday this week. Just need something to calm the itch for now, e45 itch relief not working.

  • How did it go? I've got an appointment in 2 weeks but I'm on holiday this week and hope symptoms don't get worse :(
