One stop breast clinic - they do all the tests there?

I received my appointment last week for the breast clinic. Before I did, a couple of days before I called the doctors surgery and asked the receptionist what sort of referral I had as I was unsure on wait times. The receptionist told me it was an urgent referral to the one stop breast clinic. On my understanding this is a breast clinic where they do appropriate testing all in one day if necessary right? My only worry is, my appointment is at 6.30 pm, isn't this quite late to be pulling out loads of testing? On my Letter it just states which consultant I am seeing. Nothing about tests or how long approximately I will be there. Just seems very late in the day even just to see a consultant. And experiences or anyone else had something similar. Thankyou x

  • Hi there. I just thought I would post an update that the result of my breast biopsy was a benign Fibroadenoma. I'm so relieved. I think it's a bit more unusual in someone of my age, 52. Anyhow, I just wanted to say to everyone reading this and looking for reassurance, that it's perfectly natural to be worried when waiting for results and the waiting is awful but, as we know, most breast lumps do turn out to be benign. Wishing lots of luck and good outcomes to everyone waiting for results and everyone undergoing treatment. X

  • Thats awsome news so happy for you xxx

  • Hi [@Nix123]‍

thats absolutely fantastic news! So happy for you! What a relief. Now you can move on and enjoy life. And 100% agree with you it is definitely most natural to be worried, we are only human at the end of the day, but as they say majority of breast lumps are benign and not a cause for concern! Again I am really happy for you! Xx

  • Just want to say thank you to the OP and all the people on this thread for giving me peace of mind! I know this all happened two years ago, but I stumbled across it while searching for more information about an upcoming appointment. It has really put my mind at ease, so thank you.

I hope everyone is still healthy and well xx
