My dad is newly battling colon cancer, he was pretty mych told at the colonscopy that he had cancer because the camera could not get through his colon ive heard a lot of people have been told at the appointment however he was told that he would recieve a letter in the post for official diagnosis but he actually left it 3 days and contacted his GP who confirmed over the phone, so he had the heads up for his consulatation. I really hope everything is well amd that u are panicking for no reason, im keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

colonoscopy was not finished as they couldn't see all of my colon so was set for the ct  scan which I had today Will have to wait and see if the scan was clear enough seeing as I was sent the wrong nformation regarding diet.

i will leave it until next week and ring my GP to see if they have had anything from hospital.

not very good at waiting, your mind goes wild. Well mine does

The waiting game is awful! The anxiety and fear of the unknown is a feeling i cant explain but u feel it in the pit if ur stomache! 
 

so far my dad is starting to well, he had an op to remove the primary cancer now has a stoma bag for a short time but as it has spread to his liver his chemo begins on the 23rd this month but we are as prepared as we can be, his back plastering on site so he slowly rebuilding his confidence and body as well. 
 

i really hope ur results are clear i cant believe u were sent the wrong information over something so serious! So frustrating.

I had a colonoscopy last month and came away with verbal communication about the results along with a report.

I had been made aware that I would get results on the day regardless of the diagnosis.

my colonoscopy was stopped as they couldn't see entire bowel.

yesterdat went for CT colonoscopy only to be told I was sent the wrong information!!! Unbelievable. They did the scan anyway as by then I was really upset.

so have to play the waiting game again to see if they can see entire bowel despite me not having diet information sent.

a nightmare. Just need to know. This was fast track and still non the wiser.

Getting very stressed, finding it difficult to concentrate at work and not sleeping very well.

Oh that's sad, distressing and unsettling.

Hang in there, keep chasing to get an update.

My situation is different possibly. I had surgery in February of this year and should have had my tests about a month after but due to covid had 7 months after surgery.  I had to call regularly from August onwards to get news, that in itself was working me up. I eventually had my voice heard and had 2 different appointments scheduled within 2 weeks.  I didn't particularly enjoy getting irrate with the hospital but it did the job.

I trust you get some progress and try not to stress too much.

i rang my Dr this morning to explain all that has happened. She gave me the consultants secretary number.

i spoke to her and explained, she said it was there mistake the preparation given was wrong, she will contact the radiology dept and ask them to exdediate my scan result to see if it  is readable or not and let me know ASAP.

so fingers crossed maybe by tomorrow I will know if the scan has to be redone.

I am trying to keep calm but finding it very difficult.
