That's great news for you, I'm 40 and been on the Cambridge diet so usually constapated all the time but I've came off it and bowels have returned to normal.  Still doesn't answer the question of why I had such a high score in the guy test so still really worried that it is something more... Tomorrow I have my appointment with the consultant as went prucate as not sure how long you have to wait on NHS for a colonoscopy.  Has anyone on here had a high result on the fit test but it turned out to something else rather than bowel cancer...

I have been on Cambridge too and yes it defo causes constipation but I usually have slim a tea from Holland & Barrett it's fantastic, I haven't had my fit test yet they did say they were sending it ? Have to see consultant in clinic next week hoping that's just standard but I never had any blood in stools at all ? Mine was a small lump that doctor felt on exam which now they believe was poop most probably bed cause of constipation, let ya know how u get on, am sure it will be ok for you x

Thankyou I am so worried as I always have constapation but honestly this fit test has scared me as everyone I talk to is shocked that I tested positive. Nobody I know has actually tested positive before and been fine.

[@Mumone2]‍ Hi I also have had a positive fit test my one was 200ug so much higher than yours. When you did the test did you stick the test into where you could see blood? Cause the fit reads even the littlest blood. 

I am still awaiting a sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy for about 9 months now, they won’t do one on me as I’m pregnant so I’m in such a pickle. I get blood everyday, sometimes blood mixed with mucas sometimes red pieces of stool. Scared out of my mind.

Keep us updated, sounds like a stomach ulcer.

Hi, not me but a friend of mine had the same symptoms as you and the results were 119, he has been referred for an urgent colonscopy but thankfully it was not cancer they only found internal hemorrhoids, now he is waiting for an operation date to get them removed.
