Hi. I was wondering hiw you got on. My linning is 25 mm and im having bleeding, pelvic and back pain. Im so scared. I cant get a hystroscopy until november
Hi Emma
so it turned out that my lining looked that thick in a scan because I had a very large polyp, as the scan can't pick up exactly what the thickness is. The polyp was removed during the hysteroscopy and the biopsy came back clear. I also had really bad cramping and bleeding, they told me that the cramping is due to my womb trying to get rid of the polyp, and the bleeding was because the polyp moves around and as the blood vessels are near the surface in the womb, the movement of the polyp caused the bleeding.
I was also petrified and had convinced myself I had cancer. Such a shame you can't get seen quicker to put your mind at rest. Happy to answer any other questions if I can be of help.
apologies for not responding to others as I only got an email today to tell me ther had been responses to my post.
best wishes
Thank you for replying xx

Hi I was looking through the posts and wondered how you got on I hope everything is well.
On Saturday 16th July 2022 I was informed that my womb lining is 27mm they did try to do a biopsy but it wasn't happening he tried three times first with a small spectrum the twice with a bigger one but my cervix wasn't playing ball, so I am waiting in a day bed for a general anesthesia, I am 58 and hadn't bleed for 15 +years until I took unwell and was in hospital with gastrointestinal or else I would be any wiser
Hi Wilma and welcome to the Cancer Chat forum.
I just noticed you were trying to reach out to Shirley12. Unfortunately Shirley wasn't been back on the forum since making that post in March last year so there is a chance you may not hear back.
I do hope that isn't the case and Shirley does return to update you on her situation, but if that doesn't happen then do feel free to start your own discussion or join in on more recent ones about this.
I hope the biopsy you had with general anaethesia yesterday was more successful and that you won't have to wait too long for your results.
All the best,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
