Worried about cancer

Im going out of my mind with worry. I've had some spotting of brown discharge this week so went to the doctors this morning for an examination. The doctor advised I bled quite a lot during some swobs and my cirvix has some areas that look that polups or erosion. She's referring me for an urgent gyno app, so I'm very worried. I had CIN 111 in 2007 which was treated successfully and had a negative result to HPV last September. I'm just terrified it's something sinister and just can't eat think or do anything. I'm 36. Any advice, experiences would be greatly appreciated. I'm unsure how long I'll have to wait to get an appointment.

    Hi Casey

     

    My first appointment after referral was with the gynaecologist who started by asking my symptoms etc then did a hysteroscopy and 2 punch biopsies. I was bleeding quite heavily at the time which made things difficult for him to see but he still went ahead with his investigations. I’m fine thanks and enjoying a nice relaxing weekend! xx

    Did you have you hysterology and biopsies on the same day please? I'm hoping they won't send me away for yet another app, so I can get some answers sooner rather than later. Glad you're having a nice weekend.

    Hi Casey

     

    Yes I did. He asked me what I would like him to do, and I told him to do as much as he could at one appointment so as not to have to go back for another appointment. So he did the hysteroscopy first, then the biopsies. He said that was as much as he could do at once. 

     

    I have had a nap today..so no cleaning up done! xx
