Swollen groin lymph node & night sweats - anyone?

Hi,

it started about a year or 2 ago with drenching night sweats that have increased in frequency and intensity. GP's thought it could be hormonal or a virus so did bloods which were normal.

Fast forward to now and I am still having the night sweats along with constant infections and different doses of antibiotics each time along with random rashes and itching. The past month I notice a small swelling sticking out near my groin which has grown bigger in size (it's not huge but visible? It feels hard, non tender and almost rubbery. The GP thought it could be a virus so bloods done which were all okay apart from showing I had previously had EBV. I can't go in to see GP because of Coronavirus and am driving myself mad. She doesn't think it's anything to worry about but I'm not so sure, she then just said she would write to a specialist and get their opinion on what if anything should be done. Anyone any experience with anything like this?

  • I am currently going g through all this. I had a baby 7 months ago and started having severe night sweats

Kept getting told it was hormonal and related to breast feeding but I stopped feeding at 5 months and the sweats have continued.

They are nearly every night and I have tk change the sheets every day.. I went back to the docs and she checked my lymph nodes and did bloods

I had one small enlarged node on my left side of neck and left groin which she felt were probably infection related and bloods normal apart from raised platelets

We agreed to repeat bloods in 4 weeks

Then a few days later loads more lumps popped up in neck and groin on right side too. Couple in groin are grape size not pai full at all and I feel well in myself just a little tired but I do have a baby who doesn't sleep through yet.

I contacted gp to let them know that the lumps had increased and also some had grown, and they have now done an urgent referral to haematology and my appointment is 5th Oct

Think its also because I have an uncle who has had lymphoma.

  • Hi wondering how your doing hope all ok?

  • Did you find out what was wrong!?
