calcifications

Hello everyone

I had a mammogram 3 weeks ago and received a letter to go to hospital for more tests

I had an ultrasound another mammogram and a biopsy

I was told i have calcification in my left breast hence the need for the biopsy

The wait for the results is 2 weeks and i am worried sick

Has anybody on here had calcufication and did it turn out ok?

  • Hi Molly

Lovely to hear from you and great to hear you are up and about.

You made me laugh "not much up top", I'm the same!!!!!

Oh, I am truly thrilled you are out, how do you feel and how do they say the operation went?  When are you back for a check-up and when do you get results?

I am back to hospital tomorrow for the results of the latest blood test to see if they have got everything under control and if so it's my mastectomy on Wednesday.  Sadly they cannot do reconstruction surgery at the same time due to the complications from the lumpectomy, and I need silicone implants so gutted about that too.

I'm glad you found that everyone was amazing as I feel the same way.

Once they say you can start doing your exercises, do them but don't push it too far or fast.  They really do help with the recovery, as does relaxing, reading and a cup of tea with a piece of cake!!!!

Keep smiling and fighting girl, we can do this.........

Let me know how you are in the morning and I hope your sleep well.  I'll let you know after I've seen Hematologist tomorrow and if the hospital confirm I can have my operation Wednesday.

Sleep well tonight Molly, love Rosie x

  • Hi Rosie im in a bit of pain. Normal painkillers like paracetamol do nothing for me. They gave me morphine in hospital and took all pain away.

Also gave me codeine phosphate and they dont help either. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Keep me updated about your surgery and let me know how you are please?

    love from molly xx

  • Morning Molly

How are you this morning and how did you sleep? I do hope you get some relief from the pain. It's bad enough being in this situation without having to suffer!

Do you have any nice plans for the weekend? We have some people popping round Sunday  afternoon but other thsn that it's a quiet one.

Going out with friends Monday though for a few hours for a bit of retail therapy and lunch!

Waiting for my consultant appointment now for update on Wednesday. They are running a bit late but no worries about that.

Take care, keep warm. Love Rosie x

  • Good Morning Rosie

Im ok just a little bit sore. Feeling a bit sorry for myself as my husband is not the most sympathetic person around.

Just a cup of tea in bed would be nice.

My daughter popping round later so looking forward to that.

Enjoy your time with friends its good to get out it takes your mind off things.

Well i better get up and make my own tea!!

Keep in touch Rosie i feel like ive made a new friend in you!

    Love from Molly x

  • Oh Molly, I wish I was there I would make you a cup of tea and we could have a good chin wag and get to know each other better!!  I have sent you a friend request so we can message each other without filling up this tread.

I do hope you have a lovely time with your Daughter and I'm sure she will make you a nice cuppa!!!

After what you have been through you deserve to feel sorry for yourself but I hope your Husband also helps a bit over the weekend to give you a break and a chance to recover and get strong for the next step.

My Consultant appointment wasn't the best.  Due to problems with my blood test results, they have postponed my mastectomy that was next week, I have recently been diagnosed with Haemolysis which was part of what caused my problems after my lumpectomy.  I have to go back on Tuesday for further blood tests and see my Consultant again next Friday, so playing a waiting game now.  Frustrating to say the least!!

I really hope your painkillers are kicking in, what have they given you now to help?

Have a lovely chat with your Daughter.  Love Rosie x

  • Hi Rosie they gave codeine and paracetamol but they dont do very much.

Enjoyed seeing my daughter she brought me some flowers and naughty cream cakes!!

You are having a pretty rough ride at the minute i can imagine its very frustrating for you

    Keep chatting it helps!!

    love from molly xx
