This forum is great.  In this day and age when selfishness is often all we read about we here know that there is nothing better than a friendly voice/written word/whatever.  We have all suffered at times in our lives and if we cannot help each other out I don't think the world has achieved very much.  I am sure you would/will do the same.  We are all rooting for you and feel you are a nice person who would do the same for us if the position was reversed.  Annie

Hello everybody,

Just to say the other doctor was fantastic this morning and is trying everything to get me seen. I have an appointment on the 13th December at a private hospital on the NHS for the rectal bleeding  and she has given me the telephone number of the consultants private secretary to speed up the hysteroscopy, if I have no joy she will phone on my behalf. She has also prescribed different  tablets to try and actually stop the bleeding and I am having more blood tests. She mentioned that my bleeding could be endometriosis. Thanks again for all your kind messages and I will post again to follow up. x

I've been bleeding for the last month light then heavy then light very erratic with pelvic pain.

I have lost weight and on 2 occasions bleeding after sex, I have been to the doctors they found a cervical erosion I have been referred to a colonoscopy clinic for cervical cancer I haven't had a pap test for 6 years.

I had a hysterscopy in June for thickening of my womb lining they didn't see anything and biopsy came back normal.

I'm sick of bleeding its everyday very tired and pale.

I am also scared I have cancer.

i understand totally, it is a scary time. I mentioned the cervix when I saw the GP as I was worried that the cervix wasn’t being looked at. She said that during a hysteroscopy they go through the cervix to look at the womb and anything obvious about it’s appearance would be noted. I am not sure if this is right but if it is I hope it helps a bit. I would like to know this too if anyone else knows? 

It is good that you have been referrred quickly and they are acting on it, it is also positive your hysteroscopy was clear.

i am still waiting for my hysteroscopy appointment and I keep having episodes of rectal bleeding too. My bleeding has gone on for five months now. The booking office tell me they have no capacity to give me an urgent appointment as the two week appointments are priority.

I have a history of Adenomyosis and PCOS plus other bowel issues. This month has been very bad for me with bleeding. Continuously heavy with clots the size of my hand for an entire month, now I believe I am bleeding rectally. Waiting for a gynae referral which is really taking its time with no urgency. It is urgent though as I’ve been in A&E from blood loss this month and was forgotten about last year when I was due a Laparoscopy and it still hasn’t come through as yet. 

Were any of you given Progesterone or Norethisterone to slow the bleeding? I have been given both plus tranexamic acid and none of it is helping to relieve the bleeding. I was being sent for a CA125 blood test today along with my iron check but I said I would rather wait until after Christmas as I know with my current symptoms and position that it will most likely read high and elevated which will just leave me worrying. Has anyone had similar?

I literally can not believe what I am reading here, it's like reading my own morbid diary over the past year! 

Full on bleeding almost everyday some days so so heavy tampon and towel on and soaking thru to my clothes every half hour! £70  a week on stuff to soak up the blood! Bleeding from my bum heavily...nose bleeds...even blood from my bloody eye onetime!!! Iron levels so so low badly anemic ...been fobbed off same as u had a couple ultra scans and internals... like they all think it's nothing which even so much as requires an on the day gp appointment even when u ring every single day for 2 weeks solid! Then u finally get high risk cells off and biopsy sent, biopsy lost then told they didnt even take it! Then it all comes bk so have it done again told have smear every 6 months but keep getting refused it cos I'm bleeding so much! Crying in pain some nights passing out fainting... on internal scans told cant see left overy but that's ok cos theres all blood clots in the way!! And spoken to like this is completely normal practice to confirm on the report nothing of concern and not mention the prior...finally see a half decent doctor along the way here n there who seem bothered...they send u for like 21 blood tests and stools ect....pure on stuff incase I have stomach ulcers....I'm being sick blood in sick...coughing up blood....

Then get a text to say book urgent gp appt re bloods ring surgery told no appts...ring tomo...explain it all still no appts...refuse to gimme results over the phone on 3 occasions and cant see me or get doc to call me!!!! 

Go into surgery argue for 10mins at desk they wont give me results as not medically trained!!!! And told I dont look as I'll as I'm suggesting to her finally get the iron levels of 3....dangerously low they had them 4 days and not even a script done up....fbC really low ...and guess what gp sees me to shut me up and yep they apparently lost all the other results somewhere I need to go repeat em!

Go bk do blood ask nurse to pls not lose em....she tells me they wasnt lost gp requests repeats as so many of them had come back really out of range! Not that he thought to mention this to me.... (this is all a year after first started) 

Been told whole time they want different things done to stop the bleeding I kept refusing until they locate the cause....I allowed them to try once as they wouldn't do smear ....they gave me bags n bags of all different hormone tablets I reluctantly took for 2 days and was crying my eyes out in the worst head pain i ever felt my whole life pacing around the house for 2 days nothing even morphine ect would touch it that was a whole another epic fail story of docs and ambulance and a&e and neglect beyond belief!

Now a yr later i give up so say ok just stop the bleeding....they told me to have that mirena thing put in me and make sure i do not miss this appt on about 6 occasions during this 1 appt spoken to like some kind of drama queen (told I may have turned up a various hospitals throughout the yr with these probs but I apparently do not turn up at the gps with the probs so they cant be to blame!!!! He didnt look so smug when I asked if he would like to look at my phone call logs for the past year and see I call most days on hold for 45mins from 8.30am and never seen!!!! So on the day of the mirina fitting I get a text on 3 occasions telling me the appts cancelled each time I phone them they dont have a clue will call me bk ect....then get told it's at a different surgery bla bla...I eventually leave work early sort child care drops kids everywhere rush there wait 3pmjns then walk in and be told I hope you haven't come to have that today cos we only do it in a weds!!!!

Then just got a call a min ago from a new consultant saying I have a live virus in my poo quite a bad one need immediate strong antibiotics for 7 days and then see if it goes or if it's all up in my intestines ect as left so long apparently can cause anal bleeding and abdominal pain ect...

So anyways I'll get them tomo....and waiting for  this poxy minina to be put in me....another us scan...internal scan...bloods to come bk again....then maybe a camera put up me...

But honestly the whole year has had to be me looking into symptoms and speaking to people ect to ask for what I need done or work out what it all is...

....not even been tested for any type of bowel cancer, anal cancer, intestines ect... i dont think i have any of those but when u read alot of heavy bleeding from all the places i got it...then it says only be worried if u have these symptoms aswell....and i mostly have all of em apart from the over 60yrs thing...I'm 36... and it says everytime ure gp will send u for this test....nope they bloody wont send u for any test...

For days at a time i am seriously unwell drained weak in pain passing out bleeding...but obviously still have to continue with everyday life no matter what 2 kids disabled parents work schools ect.... paid my n.i and taxes my whole life but because I'm not in a certain high risk category I'm just not important enough to be seen anywhere  

Hello.  I've just come across your post after searching for baikal and rectal bleeding.  I am having exactly the same problems as you with the sudden gushing from my rectum asking with the constant vaginal bleeding. I can't offer any advice other than that already offered. I just wanted to say I'm so glad it's not just me.  I shall follow with interest.  Wishing you healing thoughts and good luck x

I am having the same thing. Had a coil fitted and constantly bleeding from vagina. I am also bleeding from rectum have lower back pain and cramps as well as nose bleeds. 
 

Doctor said I had bacteria in my stool and then passed me on to another doctor. I'm waiting now for appointment but it's getting worse...
