2 lumps in breast...

So for a few weeks now, maybe longer I had an ache occasionally to my breast, then the past few days it’s got worse and now the ache won’t go, and occasionally a small pain in my back behind my breast. I went the doctors and he found 2 lumps, even after I self examined n found nothing.

I’m so upset, I’m scared, iv been referred to breast clinic with 2 week wait, what happens when I get there? What will they do? I’m 31.

Thank you

    Hi SuzB,

    Welcome to the forum.

I am so sorry to hear that you are in a similar position. Have you seen your GP or local breast clinic about this?

    HI SuzB,

There is a lot of cancer in my family too. I myself have had 2 bouts in the past 10 years. and had a lumpectomy the first time.  When I had a second bout a year later, I had a double mastectomy.

I'm glad to hear that you are going to the Breast Clinic on Friday and hope that all goes well for you. I have found my care team to be so helpful and supportive and hope that you do too.

Of every 10 referred to the Breast Clinic only 1 will turn out to have breast cancer, so I hope that you will be one of the lucky ones!

Please stay in touch and let us know how you fare. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi, has anyone got any updates?  I have over the last couple of weeks noticed a couple of lumps close together in one breast I have booked an appointment to see the GP in the next couple of weeks.  I was just wondering if it is more likely to be cysts rather than cancer.

I had cancer about 5 years ago intially diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer which spread to my lymph glands, then discovered I had thyroid and liver cancer at the same time - all successfully removed and treated.

I am not overly worried as I know the chances are it is more likely to be cysts rather than anything else but just wondered what others experiences were?

    Thank you, Julie xx

  • Hello there, I stumbled upon this chat. I wondered what your outcomes were if you dont mind? I too am in a similar position.

I'd appreciate a response, hoping all is well x

  • Hi Laurenevie

    Thank you all is well.

I am very happy to say that the lumps turned out to be cysts and the hosptial were very reassuring and said that due to my past with cancer, they are very pleased that I got them checked out.

I hope that your situation turns out the same.  It is always best to get it checked sooner rather than later, best of luck x

  • Hiya, my update is good. I went for an ultrasound on my breast (not a mammogram due to my age - I was 31) and it turned out to be fatty tissues. Apparently I have fatty breasts lol. They think the ache was hormonal. So my story is a positive one. Hope your ok

    HI Julie,

I am so glad to hear that your lumps turned out to be cysts and not more cancer. It sounds as if you've already had enough of that!

I am glad to hear that the hospital staff were so reassuring. Once you have had a recurrence, you are always so aware that this could happen again. I am delighted to hear that this is not the case this time and, hope that you continue to keep well.

We are always here for you if ever you want to chat.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi Emmabr,

It is so great to hear a positive result. Pain doesn't usually go hand in glove with cancer, so I was hoping that you would get good news.

    I'm so happy for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
