HPV and borderline cell changes - don't panic if you have had such a letter. The colposcopy is a simple procedure and very, very common

Hi All

I just wanted to post something positive for anyone out there who as received a letter regarding their recent smear test saying HPV has been detected and they have borderline cells.

I received such a letter a few weeks ago and I was absolutely shocked and terrified.

I had my Colposcopy today, and it was nowhere near as bad as I had convinced myself it would be.

The lovely specialist nurse was very relaxed telling me borderline line cells are nothing to worry about and everything normally just returns to normal. I then had the procedure done by her with another lovely female assistant. They both chatted to me throughout the procedure; I felt zero pain and discomfort. I was told I didn't need a biopsy and to return in 12 months to check things had returned to normal.

I had got myself into such a state, but, really, borderline cells are just normal when your cervix are fighting a virus - which your body can eliminate. I have started eating super foods, taking vitamins and feeling very positive.

Please do not get in a state if you have had such a letter. It is a simple procedure and very very common.
