I found a hard lump in my neck well over a year ago, at the top of my spine just below my hairline, it is always there but when I bring my head forward it’s difficult to feel.
Went to the doctors in September 25 and originally sent away with advice to come back if anything changes, that it was too small to do anything and during the examination they “lost it” despite me being able to feel it. 3 months later, the lump still remained, sometimes feeling bigger but always there and I’ve been experiencing issues - constant backache, pains in my abdomen and hips, sometimes get pain in my chest and ribs feel like they’re being crushed, really bad loss of appetite, sometimes lose feeling in my legs and feet, pins and needles, hot flushes with sweats but during the day and night, random itchiness, nausea, headaches, pressure in neck to the point my head feels heavy and it spreads to my shoulders. Honestly, I feel like my symptoms are never ending, the fatigue I’ve been feeling leaves my legs and arms so weak and I get incredibly breathless. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning I feel like my throat is sore. Also my brain just isn’t the same anymore - I get confused, loose words, major brain fog.
When I went to my GP again they said that it was swollen lymph nodes but would refer me due to my symptoms and worries. I had my ultrasound today and they said that they couldn’t see anything at all. They said it’s a part of my spine but I’m really not convinced and I don’t know what to do from here. The lump itself isn’t painful but when it’s prodded as it was today, it’s painful, I’ve got a thumping headache currently and the pain is radiating down my spine to my lower back.
I’m just asking for some advice as honestly, I don’t feel listened to and I’m just really worried because I feel like something is wrong and I don’t know where to go from here as I’ve been 3 times now.
