HPV Trials - are there any being done in the UK? Who do I contact to get more information?

I have HPV in my throat, I have had chemo and radio which started In 2022 after treatment the cancer was gone.  The cancer come back again in March 2025, at the moment I am not having treatment as the tumour has stabilised from my last scan in May 2025.  I have an appointment next week to get results of the latest scans. I have been offered immunotherapy, if the tumour has grown and treatment will then been given every 6 weeks.

Do you know of any trials that are being done in the UK for HPV?
Or who I can contact to get more information.

I am glad that there are other people with this cancer and I don’t feel alone and able to chat on here.

  • Hello Coco23

I'm sorry to hear that you were told earlier this year that the cancer in your throat had come back after treatment in 2022. It's understandable that this might have been difficult information to receive. Hopefully, your scan results next week will bring some positive news that things have remained stable.

We have some information about clinical trials on our website that may be helpful to you. You're also welcome to call our team of nurses if you'd like to talk things through with them. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Do let us know how you get on next week Coco23. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,
