Welcome to the forum Cristina although I'm sorry to hear about the unidentified mass that's been found on your ovary.

I know this must be a very stressful and anxious time but I hope it helps to know that the Cancer Chat community are here for you and hopefully it won't be long until some of our members stop by to offer their support and advice.

Hi Steph, thank you so much for getting back to me. I do hope some of the amazing people on this forum can share their experiences with me and hopefully put my mind at ease. Even for a short period of time. I have read the article, thank you for sharing it with me. Part of my brain knows that it's pointless worrying as i won't change the outcome,but when the anxiety and fear kicks in that's where logic goes out the window. I will try and get in contact with the nurses this week as i feel i didn't get the chance to ask my GP any questions when she phoned me. My husband is being very supportive and positive about it, i just really wish he was right. Thank you and take care!

I am in a similar situation, unusual polyp found at smear, 2ww referral to gynaecologist and an ultrasound, went to gynaecologist appointment where they removed the polyp for testing, told me I also had a cyst on my left ovary and took bloods to check this further and took a biopsy of womb lining, she didn’t explain why this was needed. I am now waiting on the results from all these three and the waiting is making me feel like I am going crazy. I know chances of any of these being anything bad are small but I am scared 

Good morning, thank you for sharing with me. The wait is so painful,we don't know what to expect and I can't help but thinking of worst case scenario. If you don't mind me asking did they took the biopsy using  laparoscopy? What symptoms did you experience if any? I hope im not being intrusive by asking these questions. I hope you get some answers sooner rather than later. Keep me posted and if you need to vent or get things off your chest, I'm here. Take care and let's try and keep our minds ocupied. Sorry you’re going through this - I know from experience how worrying it can be! 

A few years ago I had an ultrasound to check my ovaries as I was experiencing pain and have a family history of ovarian cancer. At the ultrasound they found a cyst on my right ovary which looks suspicious. I was then sent for an MRI and the results came back that it was a normal functional cyst. I still deal with the pains now but they don’t seem as bad knowing it’s nothing to worry about.

The waiting is the worst part but please try not to overthink - I know it’s easier said than done - the main thing is they are looking into it and you will have answers soon. 

I was uncomfortable for a few hours after and now a week later it it just like being on my period with slight cramps and bleeding, am hoping this stops soon

I am so happy to hear a positive response to my post. It does make me feel better about it although i am aware each case is different. It's the wait and the million thoughts that goes through our mi ds when we hear the words:"unidentified mass and MRI". I honestly left the call with my GP crying my eyes out. I will pray that hopefully it's a similar results to yours and i do appreciate a lot you taking the time and post your experience. Hope it's not to much discomfort and it's manageable ️for you. I’m glad my story has made you feel a bit better, and I totally understand how you feel. Try and keep positive and make sure you talk and let your feelings out.

I am new on here as my partner had a colonoscopy on Tuesday and they found cancer. He’s booked in for a CT scan tomorrow so we can find out exactly what we are dealing with and if it has spread anywhere else. Our world feels like it’s been turned upside down at the moment but he is remaining positive that he will beat this and at least they have found it and are dealing with it. 

I am so sorry to hear about your partner,I can't imagine how it must feel to get that news (although I've been thinking about it for the last few days) . I really hope its in the early stages and with treatment he will make full recovery. I do think being positive helps a lot and even aids recovery,I maybe should listen to my own advice. Best of luck tomorrow and if you want to keep me posted and need to get things off your chest im here. The sooner they know the the quicker he can start treatment .I'm sending all the positive energy out there for your partner and you. I will be thinking about you, don't be a stranger. :)
