I found a lump in my right breast last week.
Ive been fast tracked for tests next week.
My worry is that I've had shoulder/back pain for months. I'm so so scared that it's a symptom that the cancer has spread.
I can't sleep. I'm so scared.

Hi Sabr,
It is never a good idea to consult 'Dr Google' at this stage, as much of the information is poorly researched, out of date and aimed at the spectacular. This usually only serves to scare us all the more. I have had a cyst on my ovaries for at least 15 years. It doesn't cause me any discomfort and was picked up at the beginning of my breast cancer journey. I don't know whether or not they can go by themselves, but mine certainly hasn't!
Lumps come in all shapes and sizes. My first one was small, my second one was much bigger, but turned out to be benign. I then had a third one, which was also small, but this turned out to be a second bout of cancer. There really is no telling until you have had a some scans and/or a biopsy.
Not all lumps are cancerous. It is a fact that 80% of people referred to the breast clinic do not have cancer. I was first diagnosed 13 years ago and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
