Hello,
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February- mucinous type. Would anyone know if there is an oncologist with experience/ special interest in this type of cancer in the UK?
A huge thank you,

Hi Mickey,
My experience with mucinous cancer is that it is just bunched in with all of the other cancer treatments. Few seem to have much experience of it and don't give it much credence because it is a less aggressive type.
Practices do seem to varydepending upon geographical location.
Kind regards,

Hi Jolamine,
I agree with you totally. I feel that this will be an ongoing battle because every time (hopefully not too often) I feel a lump/get told there's a 'benign' mass showing, I will have to insist on a biopsy before I can have any confidence that it's not mucinous again. I feel they are still all too easily shrugging off what they consider to be benign without any consideration that albeit rare, there are mucinous and other rare cancers that do present this way and they have a duty to check that out and rule it out.
Happy Friday.

Hi Mickey,
I couldn't agree more. We just have to be prepared to stick to our guns, if we notice any changes.
Love & Hugs,
Jolamine xx
