It all sounds very positive, the bloods being good are very important as otherwise the Chemo can not continue so that is very positive. X

Regarding the scan they usualy take about 24 hours as they have to send to your mums consultant to look at first so the people who do the scans give nothing away, can be a tense time but there sounds like there is no reason for it not to be a good result.

Yes all the nasty little buggers were zapped to high heaven and what is left, if any of my lymph nodes are Cancer free, I will say though after my mid Chemo scan, like your mum is having on the 12th there were still cancerous nodes there and my tumour had shrunk by half so showed the treatement was working even though was still there at that time. 

Do you mind me asking if mum is having bracytherapy after?  I can send you a friend request if you prefer to talk about it privately, just let me know how you feel. 

It maybe worth asking what benefit there will/could be from the trials after treatement has finished and what they are looking to achieve from it. 

I only have treatement for nerve damage in my leg, it is a bit like sciatica from the Radiotherapy, it is not perminante and feels better all the time but other than that I do not have any other treatement. 

I am glad you are ok but you do need to make sure you look after yourself and your well being too as you are just as important.  XXX

just double checked with my sister.  Mum had brachytherapy when she had her hysterectomy about 3/4 years ago so I understand she can't have it again x

with regard to the clinical trial mums receiving an immunotherapy drug and the plan is that the 6 cycles should kill the nasty buggers off or reduce them drastically and then mum continues with the immunotherapy drug indefinitely....   she will have to go to hospital every three weeks to receive the drug... it's a trial drug so I think they observe quite closely and probably continue with it as long as your body copes with it and it does its job...

im trying to stay positive but I have to admit I do have days when I break down... have two young children so have to stay strong for them too... plus they keep me very busy so I guess that is a good thing... xxxx
