Diagnosed with Breast cancer

Today I found out that I have grade 2 invasive breast cancer. I don't know the stage until I have a pet scan. I am in complete shock. My feelings are like a roller coaster. One week I find a lump and then I find myself in a whole other world. I'm scared of undergoing treatment in the current environment and scared not to receive treatment. Although I have my family I feel completely alone. I'm scared of being dependant

    Hi Ursulah

    I to have been diagnosed with a grade 2 invasive breast cancer in both breasts which have turned out to be Oestrogen positive.  It really feels quite scary especially with the current situation.  I have been started on hormone therapy and have been very reassured that the surgery will go ahead at some point. I think we just have to try to keep busy and to take life slowly.  Get in touch with your McMillan nurse they are wonderful and very helpful.

    Its a journey we are both embarking on and like you i think its important to keep talking.
